PRIVACY POLICY

At our 50th Reunion, I was approached by many people who wanted contact information about other class members. During these conversations, I realized many class members may be open to allowing us more leeway in sharing contact information with other classmates, soI decided to reexamine our privacy policy and modify it to each class member some choices in how we handle requests for his or her contact information.

THE FOLLOWING IS OUR DEFAULT PRIVACY POLICY REGARDING DISCLOSURE OF THE CONTACT INFORMATION WE LIST IN THE CLASS DATABASE:

"None of your contact information, (i.e., mailing address, phone numbers, and email address,) will be disclosed to anyone without your prior written consent."

This is our basic rule and means anyone who wants to contact you must send an email request for your contact information. Upon receipt of such a request, we will forward the entire message to you to decide whether or not to respond. This gives you full control over disclosure of your contact information.

___________________________________________

Provide us with prior written authorization to share your contact information immediately upon receipt of a request.

IF YOU WANT TO GIVE US MORE FLEXIBILITY IN HANDLING REQUESTS FOR YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION,YOU MUST GIVE US PRIOR WRITTEN PERMISSION TO DO SO BY CHOOSING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PREFERENCES:

1. You grant us permission to provideONLYyour email address to another "OHS Class of '63" class member. Under this choice, ONLY your email address will be sent to the class member making the request. We will "Cc" (copy) the message to you so you are notified to whom we have provided your information. This choice establishes email to email contact, only.

or

2. You grant us permission to provide ALL your contact information to another "OHS Class of '63" class member. Under this choice, we will "Reply" to the original message and disclose all of your contact information (email, mailing address, and phone numbers)to the person making the request. We will "Cc" (copy) the message to you so you are notified to whom we have provided your information.

<Click here to email your permission to use one of the above criteria.>

If the above link does not work, send an email to <[email protected] 63.info>

In the "Message" section of your email, type one of the above choices before sending it. A confirmation email will be sent to you.

******

NO MATTER WHICH CHOICE YOU MAKE, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCESWILL ANY OF YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION BE GIVEN TO ANYONE EXCEPT ANOTHER MEMBER OF THE "OHS CLASS OF 1963."

This means if weDO NOTrecognize the person requesting your information as a bona fide member of the "OHS Class of '63" (bona fide means listed in the class database, yearbook, or the class graduation program), then the request will be forwarded to you to decide how to respond.

******

We have approximately 60 class members who do not, or have not provided, an email address. We only have a postal mailing address for them. Requests for their contact information are handled differently. Please contact me for instructions.
